This Year's Chosen Charity Unfortunately there are around 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today, and more than 360,000 are diagnosed every year. We all know someone who has either suffered with, or is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, so it is with this in mind that this year we've decided to make a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support who provide a comprehensive service to sufferers and their loved ones. COVID-19 STATEMENT In light of advice from the World Health Organisation and the British Government, Angloplas would like to assure its customers (and potential customers) that we are very much open for business. We are a UK based manufacturer and 100% of our products are manufactured by us here at our UK factory and therefore do not rely on complicated supply chains. As a precautionary measure we have built up large stocks of raw materials in order to minimise any interruptions to production. We do however appreciate that the current situation is fluid and will therefore be closely monitoring all official updates, especially with regards to the health and well-being of our loyal staff. In the meantime please rest assured that we are doing all we can to maintain our supply of antimicrobial protected products to our hospital, health and hygiene customers. This also applies to our bespoke client products. With regards to delivery times, please bear with us as we are currently experiencing a stronger than normal demand. If you have any concerns about supply or indeed any other matter, then please do not hesitate to contact us. Fraser and Lloyd Stock (Directors) 17/03/20 |

Angloplas Rebrands its Antimicrobial Material ....
|
If you've noticed a change in our antimicrobial material logo recently it's because we are in the process of re-branding our antimicrobial products and would like to stress that it is only the branding that is changing. The material we use has NOT CHANGED and is EXACTLY the same as before and is quality control tested to ISO 22196:2007 where applicable, in an independent laboratory. Only material that can demonstrate a 95% reduction in bacteria is allowed to be used and is independently tested and certified in order to reach the highest antimicrobial standards.

...six new scrub rooms within the new Theatre Suite at East Cramlington NHS Hospital in Northumberland. Tollesbury-based Angloplas were approached by Theatre Team Leader Sr Polly Lee to equip their state of the art theatres with glove and surgical gown dispensers. These are made from the world's first proven Antimicrobial PVC with BioCote® silver ion technology.
For hospitals, this helps reduce the risk of cross infection by stopping the growth of bacteria and mould and works continuously for the lifetime of the product, reducing levels of bacteria such as MRSA, E Coli, Legionella, Salmonella and mould by up to 99.99%. In addition to the hygienic benefits of using these, the dispensers keep work surfaces clear and provide quick and convenient access to essential consumables by theatre staff. |

Angloplas teams up with Scotia Aid to help victims of Ebola |

|
With the current situation in West Africa regarding the Ebola Virus at crisis point, leading plastic products manufacturer Angloplas are helping to kit out hospitals in the worst affected areas in Sierra Leone. Tollesbury-based Angloplas were approached by the Scotia Aid charity to support the cause by providing a range of glove and apron dispensers which are made from the world's first proven Antimicrobial PVC with BioCote® silver ion technology. For hospitals, this helps reduce the risk of cross infection by stopping the growth of bacteria and mould.
West Africa has experienced an unprecedented outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease which is both untreatable and deadly. It is continuing to spread further West into Sierra Leone and is now at pandemic levels. In response, Scotia Aid has launched an urgent appeal for funds and to source medical supplies to help in the massive effort to stop the spreading of the disease.
Fraser and Lloyd Stock, Directors of Angloplas say;
“We are only too pleased to donate our dispensers and support Scotia Aid and the people of Sierra Leone in their fight against this highly infectious and deadly disease. As a company who works with the NHS, private hospitals and care homes on infection control we knew that our products will help in Scotia Aid’s numerous hospitals across the country.”
Lynne Green, Procurement Assistant for Scotia Aid says:
“Unfortunately at present there is no known cure or treatment for this disease – so education and containment are the only solutions to this terrifying situation. We are delighted that companies such as Angloplas are choosing to help on a practical level by donating goods that will be used on the frontline in the fight against this dreadful disease.
